摘要: Abstract Murine hepatocyte nuclear factor-3β (HNF-3β) protein is a member of large family developmentally regulated transcription factors that share homology in the winged helix/ fork head DNA binding domain and participate embryonic pattern formation. HNF-3β also mediates cell-specific genes important for function hepatocytes, intestinal bronchiolar epithelium, pancreatic acinar cells. We have previously identified cut-homeodomain factor, HNF-6, which required promoter activity. In this study, we used situ hybridization studies stage-specific embryos to demonstrate HNF-6 its target gene, HNF-3β, are coexpressed foregut endoderm hepatic diverticulum. More detailed analysis HNF-3β's developmental expression patterns provides evidence colocalization ductal epithelium exocrine support role regulating developing their liver levels both transiently reduced between 14 15 days gestation. At day 18 gestation adult pancreas, transcripts remain colocalized cells, but diverge endocrine restricted cells islets Langerhans, whereas expresses HNF-6. discuss these with respect specification hepatocytes differentiation pancreas.
