摘要: Pescadillo was originally identified in the zebrafish Danio rerio as a site of retrovirus-insertion mutation that caused severe defects during embryogenesis. In particular, growth fetal liver significantly affected by loss pescadillo function. To begin to understand role mammalian hepatogenesis we murine homologue and named it Pes1. A single gene localized chromosome 11 on mouse genome encodes Although Pes1 mRNA detected all tissues examined present at highest levels both adult liver. Analysis predicted amino acid sequence found contain BRCT domain, which has previously been several proteins involved cell-cycle checkpoints DNA repair. Consistent with putative these processes when recombinant protein expressed HepG2 cells nucleus.
