摘要: Micro-RNAs (miRNAs) are small regulatory non-coding RNAs involved in the regulation of many biological functions. In brain, they have distinct expression patterns depending on region, cell-type and developmental stage. Their profile is altered by neuronal activation response to behavioral training or chemical/electrical stimulation. The dynamic changes miRNA level regulate genes required for cognitive processes such as learning memory. addition, dysfunctions dementias, levels miRNAs perturbed, not only brain areas affected pathology, but also peripheral body fluids serum cerebrospinal fluid. This presents an opportunity utilize biomarkers early detection assessment dysfunctions. Further, since target pathways, may represent key molecular signatures that can help understand mechanisms disorders development potential therapeutic agents.
