摘要: Arachidonic acid and lysophospholipids generated by glucose stimulation of phospholipase A2 may be related to the biphasic pattern insulin secretion. Therefore, we examined effects glucose, exogenous A2, lysophospholipids, pharmacological agents which perturb reesterification or oxygenation arachidonic in superfused monolayer cultures neonatal rat islet cells. Nordihydroguaiaretic (20 μm), an inhibitor lipoxygenase, significantly decreased phasic glucose-stimulated secretion, especially during phase 1, suggesting that stimulatory lipoxygenase metabolites contribute stimulation.
