摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the antimicrobial activity a new root canal sealer containing calcium hydroxide (Acroseal) and based on MTA (Endo CPM Sealer), in comparison with traditional sealers (Sealapex, Sealer 26 Intrafill) white MTA-Angelus, against five different microorganism strains. materials their components were evaluated after manipulation, employing agar diffusion method. A base layer made using Muller-Hinton (MH) wells by removing agar. placed into immediately manipulation. microorganisms used were: Micrococcus luteus (ATCC9341), Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC6538), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC27853), Candida albicans (ATCC 10231), Enterococcus faecalis 10541). plates kept at room temperature for 2 h prediffusion then incubated 37 degrees C 24 h. results showed that Sealapex its paste, powder, Endo powder all presented Intrafill liquid strains except P. Acroseal effective only M. S. aureus.
