摘要: Abstract The levels of non-protein sulphydryls, protein sulphydryls and protein-bound were measured in the separated nuclei cortices from individual normal cataractous lenses. As colour lens nucleus increases, there is a progressive decrease sulphydryl sulphydryl. In advanced lenses, these to 10% 3%, respectively, found nucleus. Similar, but smaller, changes take place cortex. level increases early stages cataract formation thereafter remains constant both cortex lens, bound accounts for only about 2% loss There appear be no intermolecular disulphide bonds urea-soluble proteins some may present urea-insoluble proteins.
