摘要: Epigenetic modifications include DNA methylation, histone modification, and other patterns. These processes are associated with carcinogenesis cancer progression. Thus, epigenetic modification-related enzymes, such as methyltransferases (DNMTs), (HMTs), demethylases (HDMTs), acetyltransferases (HATs), deacetylases (HDACs), well some related proteins, including methyl-CpG binding proteins (MBPs) DNMT1-associated protein (DMAP 1), considered potential targets for prevention therapy. Numerous natural compounds, mainly derived from Chinese herbs chemically ranging polyphenols flavonoids to mineral salts, inhibit the growth development of various cancers by targeting multiple genetic alterations. This review summarizes mechanisms which active compounds exert their anti-cancer effect. A subset these curcumin resveratrol, affect processes, DNMT inhibition, HDAC inactivation, MBP suppression, HAT activation, microRNA modulation. Other also regulate modification but underlying clear remain unknown. Accordingly, further studies required.
