Previous research has shown that motor result in substantial mortality, with 22,912 occupants killed 2012 the United States, an estimated 265,000 years potential life lost 2011 (CDC's Web-Based Injury Statistics Query Reporting System [WISQARS], unpublished data, 2014). The medical cost such fatalities was $226 million.
