摘要: Background and Purpose: Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is common in survivors of acute life-threatening illness, but little known about the burden PTSD stroke transient ischemic attack (TIA). This study estimated prevalence or TIA-induced posttraumatic using systematic review meta-analysis. Methods: Potentially relevant peer-reviewed journal articles were identified by searching Ovid MEDLINE, PsycINFO, PILOTS Database, The Cochrane Library Scopus from inception to January 2013; all searches conducted on 31, 2013. Observational cohort studies that assessed with specific reference a TIA occurred at least 1 month prior assessment included. rates characteristics sample abstracted included studies. coding demographics, size, country, method timing assessment. Results: Nine (N=1,138) met our inclusion criteria. varied significantly across (i.e., within year stroke/TIA versus greater than post-stroke/TIA; 55% heterogeneity explained; Q1=10.30; P=.001). Using random effects model, rate following was 23% (95% CI, 16%–33%) 11% 8%–14%) after year. Conclusions: Although commonly thought be triggered external events such as combat sexual assault, these results suggest 4 develop significant symptoms due TIA. Screening for large population-based prospective cardiovascular outcome assessments needed yield definitive prevalence, determine whether risk factor subsequent mortality.
