摘要: Backscattered electron imaging (BEI), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and optical microscopy were used to identify primary solidification structures measure solidification-induced segregation of matrix constituents reinforcement phases. The addition titanium diboride near gamma aluminides has been shown be effective in reducing the initial grain size formed on from melt. Despite this refinement, however, significant constitutional inhomogeneities may found due alloying elements phases during solidification.
