摘要: T waves excited by earthquakes propagate along the SOFAR channel with low transmission loss, and therefore can be recorded on land-based seismic stations hydrophones located thousands of kilometers away from earthquake epicenters. Early T-wave observations are mostly based recordings due to mechanics energy conversion acoustic into phases. Recently, signals have also been detected ocean-bottom seismometers (OBSs) at deep ocean basin offshore eastern Taiwan, raising question how environment affects generation propagation T-waves. In this study, understand scatters interacts different seafloor topography, we apply ray theory simulate in presence realistic topography sound speed profile. Our simulations indicate that indeed pattern, part which may reach regions. We T-waves stacking coming a series potential points within specific time-window. The stacked distribution expresses pattern similar envelope function T-waves, indicating long-lasting waveform result seismic-acoustic processes.
