摘要: The need and legitimacy of destination management organizations (DMOs) are increasingly questioned. Still, the tourism literature provides little advice on how DMOs change finance their activities for benefit destination-given contextual change. This conceptual article aims to contribute filling this gap. authors do so by proposing a typology business models organizations.,With help typological reasoning, develop new framework DMO model ideal types. To end, draw extant typologies identify key dimensions from literature.,The challenges face, as discussed in literature, relate both ends model: On one value creation side, perceived they traditionally pursue has been declining; other capture revenue streams less plentiful or attached more extensive demands. basis two dimensions, configurational complexity control, four distinct types models: factory, service center, orchestrator enabler.,The outline “traditional” that stands contrast existing classifications relates concept. an integrated description may be positioned create organization destination(s) it serves. point important interdependencies specific design choices.
