Contextualizing the EU's “Responsible Research and Innovation”policy in science education

摘要: The European Union (EU) encourages science education to be oriented towards the concept of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), i.e. socially ethically sensitive inclusive processes technology. Connecting RRI prevailing concepts in education, such as Nature Science (NoS), may facilitate incorporation curricula classrooms. We carried out a conceptual comparison between EU’s policy recent reconceptualization NoS, known expanded Family Resemblance Approach. discuss how socio-institutional nature that approach closely connects can provide means for teaching. To illustrate these opportunities, we present practical classroom approaches developed EU-funded project IRRESISTIBLE, survey results on teachers’ perspectives RRI. aim this work is understand better potential implications research practice education.
