摘要: Basal energy requirements are between 1300 and 1500kcal/day increased by most illnesses which alter the metabolic demand for substrates. Cancer does not appear to significantly increase basal requirements; but chemotherapy, radiation therapy surgery limit nutritional intake varying periods of time, repeated can lead eventually undernutrition. Chemotherapy abdominal almost always result in a loss appetite, often produce nausea vomiting throughout weeks treatment. No doubt growing neoplasm extracts nutrients from host catabolism, particularly if ingest quantities sufficient supply demands neoplasm. Absorption foodstuffs via functional gastrointestinal tract is best means obtaining adequate nutrition; however, delivery gut rapid restoration nutrition malnourished patient. In severe undernutrition, columnar mucosal cells become cuboidal, brush border reduced height. Decreased production decreased migration crypts occurs, motility diminishes overgrowth facultative anaerobic bacteria results1. protein, fat glucose may be greatly impaired.
