摘要: Forty-seven cancer patients were selected for study based on their candidacy hyperalimentation. Each patient received skin test antigens intradermally in the forearm prior to initiation of hyperalimentation, and at 7-day intervals throughout treatment with either chemotherapy, radiation therapy or surgery. Of 23 who 17 initially had negative tests. Thirteen these positive tests after an average 11.4 +/- 5.5 days Response chemotherapy occurred only those whose positive, conversion reactivity before clinical regression metastatic disease. No developed retained reactivity, although nutritional repletion was considered satisfactory each patient. Surgical converted remained preoperatively uncomplicated postoperative recovery, whereas 2 4 expired postoperatively. Absence established delayed hypersensitivity is treated surgery probably secondary generalized malnutrition, cell-mediated immunity can be restored by proper repletion.
