摘要: Abstract In today's competitive health care climate, microbiology laboratories are asked to do more work, often with limited or decreasing resources. Cost-saving strategies, successfully implemented in one across the globe, listed. For each cost-saving suggestion, careful evaluation must occur prior implementation, considering ability and policies of local institution understanding that not all suggestions workable for every laboratory. purpose this article, six categories ideas explored: (i) technical streamlining, (ii) workflow optimization, (iii) personnel utilization, (iv) cost avoidance, (v) reduction service, (vi) investing savings. Of note, if patient outcome is beneficially affected by laboratory test result question, then perhaps should be performed, at least routinely performed.
