摘要: Abstract The role of arachidonic acid metabolism (or metabolites) in the modulation α-aminoisobutyric transport resting and concanavalin A-stimulated human peripheral blood lymphocytes was evaluated using previously characterized inhibitors metabolism. Nordihydroguairetic (a nonselective antioxidant), 5,8,11,14-eicosatetraynoic (an inhibitor lipoxygenase cyclooxygenase activities), indomethacin acetylsalicylic (selective inhibitors), 1-benzylimidazole, Ro-22-3581 Ro-22-3582 (thromboxane synthetase inhibitors) proved to be potent amino activity normal lectin-activated at concentrations known decrease thromboxane A 2 production. rank order effectiveness these various compared favorably with their relative potencies as B synthesis under same conditions, determined by radioimmunoassay. Inhibitory effects noted were not due overt cytotoxicity seemed involve changes primarily V max K m process. Drug-induced alterations magnitude binding observed. These results suggest that systems can influenced certain metabolites, probably thromboxanes, both stimulated unstimulated lymphocytes. In addition, findings may provide a partial explanation for observation formation prevent lymphocyte mitogenesis [J. P. Kelly, M. C. Johnson W. Parker, J. Immun. 122 , 1563 (1979)].
