摘要: Abstract This article explores the temporal trajectories of innovative search. Drawing on conceptual ideas from behavioural theory firm, it proposes that level persistence in organisations’ search activities is affected by four key factors. These include (i) mode as well (ii) strategic aspirations, (iii) slack resources and (iv) performance feedback. model tested context public hospital services England. Results dynamic panel data analyses reveal stronger science- than practice-based activities. Findings also suggest specialist hospitals relying a continuous stream new products, processes to meet their aspirations are better positioned sustain science-based generalist counterparts. Similarly, results uncover positive association between availability financial hospitals’ ability continuously engage superior levels Contrary theoretical expectations, however, feedback does not appear have any persistence-enhancing effect.
