摘要: Abstract Many have claimed that climate change is an imminent threat to humanity, but there no way verify such claims. This concerning, especially given the prominence of some these claims and fact they are confused with other well verified settled aspects science. paper seeks build analytical framework help explore change’s contribution Global Catastrophic Risk (GCR), including role its indirect systemic impacts. In doing so it evaluates current state knowledge about catastrophic integrates this a suite conceptual evaluative tools recently been developed by scholars GCR Existential Risk. These connect planetary boundaries, classify key features, place in global policy context. While goal limited producing for assessment; we argue applying can yield new insights into how could cause catastrophes manage risk.
