Managing vendor-client expectations in IT outsourcing: a psychological contract perspective

摘要: Managing the outsourcing relationship remains a major challenge today. This study applies psychological contract perspective to identify vendor and client expectations in IT contracts two-staged mixed method design. First, we interview clients vendors, content-analyze transcripts determine mutual obligations expected by both parties. Then, conduct quantitative survey of vendors how well these are being fulfilled. Preliminary analysis shows that differentiate successful from failed projects, supporting applicability outsourcing.
