摘要: Abstract Tracheal occlusion affects both fetal lung growth and maturation. The authors used a murine in vitro whole organ culture model to investigate these effects. hypothesized that tracheal ligation would increase by increasing cell proliferation change surfactant protein synthesis this system. Lungs were removed from day 14 gestation fetuses (term, 21 days). Tracheas ligated explants cultured chemically defined, serum-free media for 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, or days. DNA division assessed using 5-bromo-2′-deoxy-uridine (BrdU) incorporation assay. Surfactant proteins A B, markers of maturity, detected immunohistochemistry. Ligated lungs showed more BrdU-labeled cells per 1,000 × field (cells/hpf) at every time point. on 1 27% cells/hpf than unligated, 21% more, 54% 60% 14, 123% ( P
