Effects of reaction conditions on hydrogen production and carbon nanofiber properties generated by methane decomposition in a fixed bed reactor using a NiCuAl catalyst

摘要: In this paper, the results obtained in catalytic decomposition of methane a fixed bed reactor using NiCuAl catalyst prepared by fusion method are presented. The influences reaction temperature and space velocity on hydrogen concentration outlet gases, as well properties carbon produced, have been investigated. Reaction both increase rate decomposition, but also cause an deactivation. Under operating conditions used, product is mainly deposited nanofibers with textural highly correlated degree crystallinity.
