摘要: Abstract Background Previous studies have shown that increase in carotid wall thickness (CWT) is associated with cardiovascular risk factors. However, simultaneous systemic and local involvement of atherosclerosis subjects high coronary not well studied. This study investigates the relation subclinical assessed by CWT presence severity artery calcium(CAC). Methods One hundred twenty nine (age 69±10 years, 72% male) underwent CAC, CT angiography, their metabolic status was evaluated. CAC defined as 0, 1–100, 101–400, 401–1000 1000+. (mm) calculated as: [mean both right left CT−measured 10-mm below common bifurcation]. Results Modest correlation between noted ( r =0.48, p =0.0001). increased substantially from 0 to 1000+ Conclusion Increased syndrome DM independent conventional factors; highlighting important role comprehensive atherosclerotic assessment identify at-risk individuals.
