Working and employability after 75 in Australia

摘要: This research investigates individuals maintaining employability after 75. Thirty-one employed aged over 75 were recruited through a mixture of advertising and snowball sampling. They interviewed about the type work they undertook, hours worked each week, how gained their employment, what perceived as factors that facilitated working, outcomes sought. Individual facilitating continued employment above average educational attainment, good health, an established reputation proactive approach. Contextual included having skill portfolios in demand, availability for casual or part-time active networks. The majority equivalent 2–3 days week. Valued reported psychological factors, followed by social lastly financial factors. Despite ageing being associated with perceptions deterioration, both physically mentally, these data suggest remaining is sought enjoyed some.
