摘要: Adaptive management has been widely recommended as a way to deal with extreme uncertainty in natural resource and environmental decision making. The core concept adaptive is that policy choices should be treated deliberate, large-scale experiments; hence, choice at least partly problem of scientific experimental design. There have now upwards 100 case studies where attempts were made apply issues ranging from restoration endangered desert fish species protection the Great Barrier Reef. Most these cases failures sense no program was ever implemented, there serious problems monitoring programs handful an plan implemented. can traced three main institutional problems: i) lack resources for expanded needed carry out ii) unwillingness by makers admit embrace making choices; iii) leadership form individuals willing do all hard work implement new complex programs.
