摘要: Abstract The effects of ageing and whisker-orientation on the wear behaviour SiC w Al composites under unlubricated sliding friction have been investigated. surface profiles 52100 steel rings against MMC samples with different treatments were also studied. results show that whisker orientation in an as-extruded composite exerts a significant influence resistance, lowest rate having observed specimen which axis is normal to surface. Appropriate over-ageing provided best resistance resulted milder damage counter ring as consequence reduced loss fracture whiskers.
