摘要: Analyses have been carried out on lipopolysaccharides (LPS) from 14 strains of Enterobacter cloacae representing different O serotypes. All the products appeared to a composition and architecture typical enterobacterial LPS, but points interest include absence phosphate residues core oligosaccharide, presence both L-glycero-D-mannoheptose D-glycero-D-mannoheptose (ratio usually about 4: 1), in lipid A small amounts fatty acids with odd numbers carbon atoms (mainly C13) addition tetradecanoic acid 3-hydroxytetradecanoic acid. Monosaccharides identified as components polymeric fractions LPS were glucose, galactose, mannose, rhamnose, glucosamine, galactosamine, fucosamine, galacturonic Most also probably contained an O-acetyl substituent. Closely similar chemotypes found for cross-reacting serotypes support view that these contain O-antigenic determinants represent side chains LPS.
