摘要: The knowledge of Arecaceae species and the several forms use by traditional communities become necessary due to economic, social cultural values they represent these populations This research aimed conduct an ethnobotanical study two palm trees in riparian municipality Abaetetuba Para, assessing its importance for subsistence economic value sociocultural. data were acquire using participant observation, semi-structured interview, free list nonspecific induction with 63 inhabitants riverine placed Abatetetuba, Para state. was analyzed quantitatively qualitatively, aim estimate consensus among informants. In quantitative analysis some levels calculated: total diversity (SDtot), equitability (SEtot), (IVs), (UDs), (UCs) level salience. 22 identified distributed eight categories use, outstanding alimentation, construction trading, especially fruits gadgets. Attalea maripa (Aubl.) Mart. (“inaja”), Euterpe oleracea (“acai”), Manicaria saccifera Gaertn. (“palheira”), Mauritia flexuosa L.f. (“miriti”) Raphia taedigera (Mart.) (“jupati”), obtained higher use. Acai most valuable specie inhabitants, besides it has number uses citations lower than miriti, confirming hypothesis that palms is mainly influenced social, a represents not being related this represents.
