摘要: We report the distribution of several histone modifications along arms and in centromeric regions somatic chromosomes maize, including supernumerary B chromosome. Acetylated H3 H4 as well H3K4me2, associated with euchromatin, were enriched distal parts A chromosomes, but progressively depleted toward centromeres heterochromatic portions Classical heterochromatin, H3K9me2, H3K27me1 H3K27me2, distributed throughout both chromosomes. However, H3K27me2 showed a reduced level on chromosome compared was not some classes constitutive heterochromatin. monitored presence each modification using YFP-tagged centromere-specific histone, CENH3. observed H3K9me2 absence H3K4me2 which is contrast to animal centromeres. These results show diversity epigenetic chromatin different eukaryotes.
