Overall such tumors tract are rare, constituting only 2% cancers, comprising a spectrum variable biologic potential. Due to rarity tumors, pathologists experience be limited these present diagnostic challenges. Currently nomenclature employed is still that pulmonary classification systems, carcinoid, atypical small large carcinoma broadly correlates low/grade 1, intermediate/grade 2, high grade/grade 3 WHO gastroenteropancreatic classification.
