摘要: The addition of a monomer soluble polymer to an emulsion was found slow the effects Ostwald ripening and impart diffusional stability droplets. Droplet nucleation be dominant mechanism in polymerization these polymer-stabilized miniemulsions (as distinguished from true miniemulsions). As result nucleations were more robust, polymerizations less sensitive variations recipe or contaminants levels. This evident rates particle numbers. miniemulsion subjected changes initiator concentration, water-phase retarder, oil-phase inhibitor, agitation. Particle number vary with each factors powers 0.002, 0.02, 0.0031, −0.026, respectively. corresponding exponents for conventional one two orders magnitude greater.
