摘要: There is a high and rising prevalence of prostate cancer (PRCA) within the male population United Kingdom. Although relative risk PRCA higher in BRCA2 BRCA1 mutation carriers, histological characteristics this malignancy these groups have not been clearly defined. We present histopathological findings first UK series carriers with PRCA. The archived tissue sections 20 BRCA1/2 were collected from histopathology laboratories England, Ireland Scotland. cases matched to control group by age, stage serum PSA level diagnosed general population. Following evaluation re-grading according current conventional criteria, Gleason scores developed identified be significantly (Gleason 8, 9 or 10, P=0.012) than those group. Since carrier status associated more aggressive disease, it prognostic factor for outcome. Targeting screening may detect disease at an earlier clinical which therefore beneficial.
