摘要: Geomagnetic and auroral storms provide a great deal of detailed information on the interaction between solar plasma flows magnetosphere. Vast numbers observations have been accumulated, many theories developed to explain them. However, most vital features remain unsolved. The purpose this paper is background for future work by summarizing fundamental morphological data reviewing critically proposed theories.
