摘要: Results of geological research conducted by the Pacific Oceanological Institute Far East Division Russian Academy Sciences and Oceanology on submarine Vityaz Ridge during Cruise 37 R/V Akademik M.A. Lavrentyev in 2005 are discussed. Various rocks constituting basement sedimentary cover ridge were dredged three areas ridge. Late Cretaceous, Eocene, Oligocene, Miocene, Pliocene-Pleistocene complexes defined among igneous rocks, while volcanogenic-sedimentary united Cretaceous-Early Paleocene (late Campanian-Danian), undivided Paleogene (Paleocene-Eocene?), Oligocene-early The obtained formation settings made it possible to reconstruct evolution central slope Kurile island arc.
