摘要: Many nuclear hormone receptors (NHRs) actively repress the expression of their primary response genes through recruitment transcriptional corepressor complexes to regulated promoters. N-CoR and highly related SMRT were originally isolated characterized by ability interact exclusively with unliganded forms ofNHRs confer repression. Recently, both corepressors have been found exist in vivo multiple, distinct macromolecular complexes. While these differ overall composition, a general theme is that they contain histone deacetylase enzymatic activity. Several additional proteins functional ties chromatin structure. Together, data suggest modulation structure plays central role mediated repression from NHRs.
