摘要: The distributions of 36 major and trace elements in 40 surface soil sediment samples collected from the Egyptian section river Nile were determined by epithermal neutron activation analysis compared with corresponding data for Upper Continental Crust North American Shale Composite. Their relative indicate presence detrital material igneous origin, most probably resulting weathering on Ethiopian highlands transported Blue Nile, main tributary. nickel, zinc, arsenic contents suggest that lower part its surroundings including Delta is not seriously polluted metals local human activity. geographical Na, Cl, I as well results principal component atmospheric supply these ocean. In general present may contribute to a better understanding geochemistry sediments.
