摘要: Refinements are presented on a model proposed originally by Wozniak for the seismic analysis of fluid storage tanks, which forms basis provisions in American Petroleum Institute design code API 650. It is found that use rules 650 may lead some cases to underestimations maximum compressive stresses shell, and overestimations tensile straps anchored tanks. The stiffness these relative shell shown play an important role can be expected tank wall. In case unanchored larger forces result from limited mass mobilized before buckling load reached.
