摘要: Autism is a dynamic neurodevelopmental syndrome in which disabilities emerge during the first three postnatal years and continue to evolve with ongoing development. We briefly review research autism describing subtle changes molecules important brain development neurotransmission, morphology of specific neurons, connections, size. then provide general schema how these processes may interact particular emphasis on neurotransmission. In this context, we present rationale for utilizing pharmacologic treatments aimed at modifying key young children autism. Early treatment selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) presented as model interventions because there evidence autistic reduced synthesis periods peak synaptogenesis; known enhance synapse refinement; exploratory studies agents exist. Additional hypothetical developmental relevant published clinical data are described. Finally, discuss importance exploring early within multiple experimental settings order develop effective quickly possible while minimizing risks.
