摘要: Biodegradation of ceramics in vivo is achieved essentially by monocytes and multinuclear cells (osteoclasts). Monocytes are the key element this process because they intervene first at biomaterial implantation site during inflammatory reaction. In work, vitro studies were conducted on an ultrastructural scale to determine specific behavior these with regard a calcium phosphate (CaP) ceramic. Two types phagocytosis observed when came into contact biomaterial: either CaP crystals taken up alone then dissolved cytoplasm after disappearance phagosome membrane or incorporated together large quantities culture medium, which case dissolution occurred formation heterophagosomes.
