摘要: Abstract The oil price instability and the measures taken to reduce increase in greenhouse gas emissions are main factors promoting development use of environmentally friendly energies. From an energy efficiency point view, biofuels constitute a renewable source its helps dependency on fossil fuels. most used for transport worldwide biodiesel (BD) bioethanol. However, there other options such as straight vegetable (SVO). SVO can be small-scale produced local cooperatives through pressing, filtering conditioning processes which much simpler than ones required BD production. In this study comparative life cycle assessment (LCA) two obtained from Spanish rapeseed, namely large-scale BD, is performed. LCA methodology allows biofuels’ production their rate consumption vehicle (a truck) compared. manner, it possible assess advantageous: directly biofuel or convert BD. Moreover, calculate return investment index (EROI) conversion ratio evaluate more efficient. results show environmental benefits using instead by analyzing representative impact categories defined CML EDIP methods. A sensitivity analysis has also been conducted. EROI indexes clear preference compared
