摘要: Purpose: Partial nephrectomy for stage T1 renal cell carcinoma is oncologically efficacious and safe, may have survival advantages. We describe our experience with partial T2 or greater cancer.Materials Methods: Between 1970 2008 approximately 2,300 nephrectomies were done at institution, including 69 sporadic unilateral advanced tumors (pT2 in 32, pT3a 28 pT3b 9). reviewed outcomes these patients compared to those 207 treated radical matched 3:1 stage, tumor size, baseline function, age gender.Results: The risk of cancer specific (HR 0.80, 95% CI 0.43–1.50, p = 0.489) overall 1.11, 0.72–1.71, 0.642) death was similar nephrectomy.
