摘要: The structural integrity of composite pipework systems depends largely on understanding the behaviour pipe joints under loading. This paper addresses topic adhesively bonded taper/taper connections. Both perfect and with artificial axisymmetric defects (debonds) were investigated in this study. Such geometry required property parameters are beyond scope conventional analytical theories normally applied to small parallel-sided tubular joints. Therefore, an extensive experimental numerical programme was necessary achieve understanding. mechanical testing focused relatively pipes (100 mm diameter) but finite element analyses extended larger (up 400 mm). Accordingly, resulted design guidance for specific range Additionally, order correlate, compare support joint analyses, thick steel adherend double-lap shear also studied experimentally numerically.
