Magnetic phase diagrams of dysprosium iron garnet (DyIG) in high dc fields

摘要: Abstract Magnetisation measurements have been performed on spherical single crystals of dysprosium iron garnet (Dy3Fe5O12) in high dc magnetic fields up to 16 T applied along the three principal crystallographic directions 〈111〉, 〈110〉 and 〈100〉. The phase transitions near inversion (or compensation) temperature TI between collinear field induced canted structures are observed different associated diagrams precisely determined (H,T) plane. mean exchange acting Dy ions effective anisotropy deduced be (12.9±0.2) (1.2±0.1) respectively. Above 228.2±0.5 K, only exists for all directions. These results compared previous pulsed data.
