摘要: Abstract. The Fire INventory from NCAR version 1.0 (FINNv1) provides daily, 1 km resolution, global estimates of the trace gas and particle emissions open burning biomass, which includes wildfire, agricultural fires, prescribed does not include biofuel use trash burning. Emission factors used in calculations have been updated with recent data, particularly for non-methane organic compounds (NMOC). resulting annual NMOC emission are as much a factor 5 greater than some prior estimates. Chemical speciation profiles, necessary to allocate total lumped species by chemical transport models, provided three widely mechanisms: SAPRC99, GEOS-CHEM, MOZART-4. Using these FINNv1 also key compounds, including formaldehyde methanol. Uncertainties arise several method steps. fire hot spots, assumed area burned, land cover maps, biomass consumption estimates, all introduce error into model uncertainty about two; but, agree reasonably well other inventories CO, CO2, less variable factors. developed specifically modeling atmospheric chemistry air quality consistent framework at scales local global. product is unique because high temporal spatial coverage, number estimated. can be both hindcast forecast or near-real time applications results being critically evaluated models observations whenever possible.
