摘要: Abstract Introduction Some people experience symptoms and negative outcomes derived from their persistent, excessive, problematic engagement in pornography viewing (i.e., Problematic Pornography Use, PPU). Recent theoretical models have turned to different cognitive processes (e.g., inhibitory control, decision making, attentional bias, etc.) explain the development maintenance of PPU, but empirical evidence experimental studies is still limited. In this context, present systematic review aimed compile around related PPU. Methods A was performed accordance with PRISMA guidelines regarding We retained analyzed 21 addressing topic. Results Studies were focused on four processes: working memory, making. brief, PPU (a) biases toward sexual stimuli, (b) deficient control (in particular, problems motor response inhibition shift attention away irrelevant stimuli), (c) worse performance tasks assessing (d) making impairments preferences for short-term small gains rather than long-term large gains, more impulsive choice patterns non-erotica users, approach tendencies inaccuracies when judging probability magnitude potential under ambiguity). Conclusion This offers a comprehensive overview current state knowledge features points out new areas that warrants further research.
