摘要: Abstract A CFD-based model for predicting the performance of annular reactors with surface reaction was developed. The capability several hydrodynamic models to predict successfully kinetic behavior reactor under diffusion limiting conditions assessed against experimental data. evaluation included five models: laminar, standard k – e , realizable Reynolds stress (RSM), and Abe–Kondoh–Nagano (AKN). catalytic decomposition hydrogen peroxide over a Mn/Al oxide catalyst coated on used as reaction. tested within range flow rates corresponding 530 Re −5 1 m/s. results demonstrated that is associated their external mass transfer ultimately, level limitation present in reacting system. For laminar conditions, capable transient turbulent regimes, all analyzed turbulence provided good predictions system when process controlled by When presented some degree limitation, AKN RSM exhibited better performance.
