The sample found positive orf virus (ORFV) identified by counterimmunoelectrophoresis PCR. Histopathology revealed hyperkeratinization, epidermal sloughing epithelial hyperplasia showing acanthosis rete ridges few eosinophilic intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies in keratinocytes. Further, comparative B2L gene sequence analysis that isolate from had shown 97.8-99.6 97.6-99.5 % identity at nucleotide amino acid levels respectively Indian isolates maximum ORFV 79/04, an India. Phylogenetic based also same evolutionary relationship it is closely related to isolates. This seems be first report subcontinent.
