摘要: A spoof plasmon (SP)-based slow-wave feeding configuration is proposed, experimentally verified and exploited to excite the fundamental horizontally polarized mode of dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs). As an example, a cylindrical DRA operating at 3 GHz fed by proposed structure. The simulation measurement evidence unique features ${\rm TE}_{01\updelta}$ such as lower thickness-dependency resonant frequencies, superb miniaturization ultra-compactness, omnidirectional radiation for waves. We anticipate that ground-free SP-based technique could be applied effectively more “unusual” modes isolated DRAs.
