摘要: This study was designed to discover the nature of concerns that adult patients have toward their orthodontic therapy. I had observed, after many years treating this age group, brought my office by prospective and active were similar. All patients, however, felt attitudes feelings unique. Initially, investigation carried out in presence a psychologist during evening meetings. then followed giving questionnaires thirty-five patients. The first questionnaire distributed who decided undergo therapy but not yet started. second given same group upon completion, or imminent treatment. Thirty-three returned both questionnaires. principal conclusion negative fears about course treatment soon dissipated. Perseverance goal an overriding characteristic every patient, satisfaction with end result uniformly favorable. These would encourage all others if it required.
