Properties and microstructure of aluminum-copper-magnesium-lithium alloys

摘要: The microstructure and mechanical properties of Al−Cu−Mg−Li alloy extrusions prepared from both rapidly cooled powder flakes cast ingots have been determined. Embrittlement the alloys by lithium was observed in source ingot metarial. Fracture all partly transgranular along boundaries original flakes. In Al 2024 fracture but addition changed path to predominantly integranular. fatigue crack growth rate with without found be five ten times slower than 2024.
